Our client, a leading food tech marketplace in the US — the #1 platform connecting companies with catering and restaurant partners nationwide — is in the middle of a significant re-platforming effort, rearchitecting the core systems that power the business. As part of this, they need a Data Architect who can take ownership of how data is modeled at the operational layer — not reports, not dashboards, but the foundational models that drive how the business actually runs.

7+ years in Data Engineering / Architecture (Staff / Lead)

Deep experience in operational and transactional data modeling

Strong background in master data management and business domain modeling

Hands-on experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures

Ability to understand business operations at a conceptual level and reflect that in data design

Collaborative — able to work alongside engineering and product teams during a re-platforming

Every job requires English proficiency, being based in LATAM.

Bonus Skills

Experience in marketplace, B2B, or food/commerce domains

Previous involvement in large-scale re-platforming or system migration projects

Familiarity with domain-driven design (DDD) principles
