We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer for a portfolio risk and analytics platform for institutional investors. The position focuses on owning and improving a complex React/TypeScript front-end, including dashboards, analytical grids, charts, AI chat features, performance optimization, testing, and design system evolution. Ideal for a senior engineer experienced with data-heavy UIs, modern front-end architecture, and async collaboration with a US-based founding team.

Key responsibilities:

• Own and improve major areas of the front-end, including the dashboard builder, report grids/charts, settings systems, and AI chat experience

• Improve performance across the application: code splitting, component memoization, and efficient rendering for large datasets

• Strengthen the component library, testing infrastructure, and overall code quality

• Build new report types, chart visualizations, and analytical workflows as the platform expands

• Refine and polish AI-generated code with an expert eye for consistency, accessibility, and maintainability

• Collaborate directly with the founding team on product and UX decisions

• Maintain and evolve the design system and shared component library

5+ years in Frontend Engineer with React and TypeScript

Deep expertise building data-heavy, high-density user interfaces with a focus on performance and scalability.

Strong understanding of front-end performance optimization including virtualization, memoization, lazy loading, efficient re-renders, and Web Workers.

Solid experience with state management at scale using Zustand, Redux, MobX, or equivalent libraries.

Experience with component libraries and design systems such as Mantine, Ant Design, MUI, or similar.

Proficiency in modern testing practices including unit tests, integration tests (MSW or similar), end-to-end testing (Playwright or Cypress), and component development with Storybook.

Comfortable working against a Python backend with auto-generated TypeScript types — no Python experience required, but ability to read it to understand API contracts and data shapes.

Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor in day-to-day development, with the judgment to evaluate, refactor, and improve AI-generated code.

Every job requires English proficiency, being based in LATAM.

Bonus Skills

Experience building grids, charts, dashboards, or pivot tables, especially with AG Grid or AG Charts.

Experience building for fintech, portfolio analytics, risk platforms, or BI/analytics tools.

Familiarity with institutional investing concepts (portfolios, benchmarks, factors, risk decomposition).
