10+ years in Full Stack Engineering

Strong full-stack experience — comfortable working independently across both backend and frontend, not specialized in just one side.

Deep expertise in at least one backend stack, ideally Python (Django/FastAPI) and/or Ruby on Rails, with the ability to ramp up quickly in the other.

Solid React and modern frontend experience, including TypeScript, modern state and data-fetching patterns, and API integration.

Strong database skills, particularly PostgreSQL — schema design, indexing, query optimization, migrations, and performance troubleshooting.

Solid understanding of modern software architecture — REST APIs, async/background processing, queues, caching, distributed systems, service boundaries, scalability, and common architectural trade-offs.

Cloud and production experience, ideally AWS, Docker, and CI/CD, with enough infrastructure knowledge (monitoring, observability) to troubleshoot production issues without depending entirely on a DevOps engineer.

Strong testing and engineering-quality practices — automated tests, code review, debugging, and building systems that are maintainable and can evolve safely.

Heavy, hands-on use of AI-assisted development — using AI daily for coding, debugging, research, testing, documentation, and understanding unfamiliar systems, with the judgment to validate its output rather than trust it blindly.

Able to own technical work end-to-end — understand an ambiguous problem, propose an approach, implement it, ship it, and see it through in production.

Comfortable in a fast-moving environment, including occasionally supporting urgent production issues or time-sensitive releases outside normal hours when genuinely needed.
