Identity is foundational to our client's business. Every transaction, every entitlement, every integration depends on knowing precisely who is acting, what they're permitted to do, and on whose behalf. As part of a broader move to a next-generation microservices platform, they have the opportunity to replace fragmented, ad hoc identity logic with a unified Identity Platform serving as the authoritative source of truth for every customer, restaurant partner, delivery partner, and trading partner on the network.

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager (IAM) to define and own this platform — leading the work to architect and deliver the identity infrastructure underpinning every product the company builds for the next decade: full identity lifecycle management, automated provisioning, fine-grained entitlement enforcement, authentication for human and machine actors, and deep integrations with the enterprise HR, ERP, and IDP ecosystems their corporate customers depend on. You'll also lead the migration of all existing customer and commercial identities from the legacy monolith onto the new platform — a complex, high-stakes initiative requiring both deep technical judgment and cross-functional leadership. This role sits within the Platform domain and reports directly to the VP of Product Management for Platforms.

8+ years in product management experience, with at least 4 years focused on platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products—you will operate with significant autonomy, setting direction across a complex domain rather than executing a defined roadmap

Demonstrated track record owning an identity, access management, or authentication platform at meaningful scale, ideally as a standalone product domain for a digital marketplace, multi-sided platform, or enterprise SaaS product with multiple principal types.

Experience leading the build and/or migration of a large-scale identity platform; you understand the risks of identity migration, how to preserve continuity for active accounts, and how to establish clean canonical models in a distributed system.

Deep knowledge of identity and access management concepts: identity lifecycle, SCIM 2.0, federation, delegated administration, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML, and authorization models including RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC—you can engage in architectural trade-off discussions as a peer with senior engineers.

Familiarity with commercial identity infrastructure (Auth0, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID) and the product and build-vs-buy considerations that govern how they are integrated into a platform rather than adopted as standalone solutions.

Experience with enterprise software ecosystems—HRIS (Workday, UKG, ADP), procurement, expense management—and the integration patterns they expose for identity synchronization and automated provisioning.

Strong business analysis and technical product skills: you can translate complex enterprise requirements into precise, implementation-ready specifications, and you are comfortable reasoning about event schemas, API contracts, and microservices boundaries.

Deep analytic ability, comfort building metrics frameworks, and the organizational discipline to shepherd a multi-workstream migration program across multiple engineering teams simultaneously.

Experience working in marketplace or multi-sided-platform businesses is a strong plus; experience within food delivery or restaurant technology is a plus.

Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration frameworks (e.g., Temporal Cloud) for cross-domain identity provisioning workflows.

Background in B2B or enterprise SaaS with complex organizational hierarchy, multi-tenancy, or delegated administration requirements.

Experience building or governing developer portals and external API programs, including identity-related API surfaces.

Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies (tokenization, pseudonymization, consent management) as applied to PII within identity platforms.

In this role, you'll be expected to take ownership of the following responsibilities as part of your day-to-day work:

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for ezCater’s User & Identity Platform—establishing it as the authoritative identity layer for all principals on the network: corporate customers, individual users, restaurant partners, delivery partners, and internal operators.

Design and deliver core platform capabilities including full identity lifecycle management, automated provisioning, fine-grained entitlements enforcement, all modern authentication modalities, security monitoring, and the developer tooling that lets product teams build identity-aware features without becoming identity experts.

Own the automated provisioning strategy end-to-end: SCIM 2.0 compliance, deep integrations with HRIS systems (Workday, UKG, ADP), ERP platforms, and partner IDPs that synchronize rosters, org hierarchies, and employment status changes into ezCater’s identity layer in real time.

Define and own the entitlements platform—spanning RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC—capable of handling both simple role assignments for small restaurant partners and highly complex, policy-driven entitlement structures for large enterprise customers with layered org hierarchies, delegated administration, and regional spending policies.

Drive the architectural decision-making that determines what to build internally versus what to acquire through commercial solutions (e.g., Auth0 for authentication, Okta for workforce SSO), ensuring those choices compose into a coherent, extensible platform rather than a patchwork of point solutions.

Lead the migration of all existing customer and commercial identities from ezRails onto Nova, preserving continuity for active accounts while establishing the clean data models and unified identity graph the new architecture requires.

Own the product definition of ezCater’s private person and organizational master data concepts—the canonical models for who someone is, what org they belong to, and how that org is structured—partnering with Data Platform and MDM teams to treat identity as a governed platform asset.

Build an operational discipline around identity: SLAs, audit trails, anomaly detection, compliance reporting (SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), and real-time security alerting—recognizing that identity is in the critical path of every user action on the platform.

Partner closely with enterprise sales, corporate customer, supplier, and delivery product teams to ensure the platform directly unblocks their highest-priority integration and onboarding needs, and evangelize integration velocity as a competitive differentiator.

Travel to Boston quarterly for planning cycles, architecture reviews, and business reviews. Have fun building identity infrastructure that actually matters.
