Our client is looking for a Database Platform Engineer to operate and maintain their PostgreSQL databases on AWS. This is an infrastructure-focused role, not an application-development one: you’ll own the day-to-day health of the databases, from upgrades and scaling to backups and failover.
You’ll monitor proactively to resolve issues before they become incidents, partner with product teams on zero-downtime schema changes for large, busy tables, and build tooling and automation that other engineers rely on.
The ideal candidate has several years of DevOps, platform, or SRE experience and has run Postgres on RDS or Aurora in production.
