This role focuses on building and scaling the data infrastructure that powers critical business decisions across pricing, underwriting, and customer experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on with Python, SQL, Airflow, and Snowflake, designing reliable data pipelines and contributing to a modern Data Vault 2.0 warehouse. The position involves ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability while supporting high-impact analytics and reporting needs. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business context into robust technical solutions. With a strong emphasis on ownership, you’ll help drive best practices in data modeling, governance, and operational excellence, while continuously improving system reliability and efficiency.

3+ years in Data Engineering

Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing complex queries and working with large structured and semi-structured datasets.

Proficiency in Python for building production-grade data pipelines.

Working knowledge of Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse (Redshift, BigQuery).

Experience with data modeling in cloud environments. Familiarity with Data Vault 2.0 or dimensional modeling is a plus; willingness to learn Data Vault is required.

Hands-on experience using testing frameworks to validate data and code in production.

Exposure to data observability tooling.

Proficiency using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Snowflake Cortex) as part of your day-to-day development workflow.

Experience running technical projects end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers — scoping, documenting, and communicating with stakeholders.

Comfortable working in regulated environments (e.g., SOX-relevant financial reporting).

Willingness to develop deep domain expertise in insurance over time — the best data engineers here understand premium, loss, and policy lifecycle as well as they understand Snowflake.

Every job requires English proficiency, being based in LATAM.

Bonus Skills

Exposure to RBAC and cost governance in cloud warehouses.

Background in insurance, fintech, or financial services.
