4 different engineering teams divided into these projects:

Main Product: Responsible for the company's main application, with a team of 5 engineers, project managers, and quality engineers.

Patient and Clinic Management System: Includes 3 backend developers (working with PHP, .NET, and Node), 1 Full Stack engineer who also serves as the Tech Leader, 5 frontend engineers (using TypeScript), and 3 project managers.

User Management Platform: Composed of 1 project manager, 1 CTO, and 2 Full Stack developers (one of them being the Tech Leader). This team primarily works with the TALL stack (Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, Laravel, and Livewire).

Billing Services Project: Works mostly with Vue and PHP, comprising 2 Full Stack developers, 1 system architect, and 1 project manager.

Team composition: 4-6 Full Stack Developers / 3-5 Backend Developers / 4-6 Frontend Engineers / 5-7 Project Managers / 2-4 Tech Leads.

Development methodology

Depending on the project, they use Scrum or Kanban.

Scrum teams have 2-week sprints: Planning, estimations, development, and test documentation, as well as test execution and releases. They also perform daily standups, team syncs, and retrospective meetings at the end of each sprint.

Kanban teams manage tasks through a continuous flow system without specific time-boxed iterations.

Deployment process

Kanban teams have on-demand deployment, which is automated based on updates in the main Git branch.

Scrum teams do daily deployments from Monday to Thursday and try to avoid any deployments on Fridays.

QA process

Some teams perform manual and automated testing, conducted daily with at least 1 hour of automation, managed by the engineering team, and the System Architect conducts a final review.

In other teams, QA is integrated into development, or code undergoes review and testing by another developer, with daily bug deployment and QE-conducted QA.

What I like the most is that we always have someone to rely on when we're facing problems, and in my case, being still a beginner in the project, I always have someone helping me with some parts that I don't have context for.
