Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Python to help build and scale a cloud-based SaaS platform for the energy industry. In this role, you’ll develop production-grade Python services, design clean APIs, work with structured data, and contribute to tools that support forecasting, economic analysis, reporting, and smarter decision-making for oil and gas professionals.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building reliable, data-driven products in a complex domain where accuracy, scalability, and performance matter. You’ll take ownership from design to deployment, work across backend services, data processing, and cloud infrastructure, and help deliver features that improve operational efficiency, transparency, and financial outcomes for customers.

6+ years in Backend Engineering with Python (Sr.)

Experience designing and versioning clean REST or gRPC services with OpenAPI contracts, using Flask and/or FastAPI in production with Gunicorn for WSGI deployment.

Deep understanding of SOLID principles and clean architecture, delivering decoupled and maintainable services built to scale.

Proficiency with pandas and numpy for structured data analysis, and ability to process medium-to-large datasets and communicate findings clearly.

Experience with MongoDB including schema design, indexing, and aggregation pipelines using MongoEngine or PyMongo.

Working knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, uv, and Bash for containerization, dependency management, and build automation.

Experience shipping features end-to-end in cloud-based SaaS products, with solid testing practices using pytest and code quality enforcement via ruff and pyright.

Every job requires English proficiency, being based in LATAM.

Bonus Skills

Experience deploying and managing services on GCP, specifically Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and GCS.

Exposure to LLM APIs or agent frameworks, with the ability to wire AI capabilities into product features.
